How to create and share a short link with U2M
Create a U2M short URL, copy it, generate a QR code, and open the correct statistics view without exposing a private stats token.
Create the link
- Open the U2M home page and paste a complete HTTP or HTTPS destination into the Destination URL field.
- Choose Shorten link and wait for the returned u2m.io URL.
- Copy the short URL or open the QR code action when a scannable version is more useful.
Keep link access boundaries clear
The short URL is designed to be shared. A returned statistics token is different: it grants access to that link's detailed statistics view and should not be posted publicly.
Signed-in users can manage owned links through the private account dashboard. Anonymous visitors cannot use that dashboard to view account data.
Use meaningful campaign parameters
If you add UTM parameters, use labels your team can recognize later. Do not put personal, secret, or sensitive values in campaign parameters because they travel with the destination URL.
